Terms of service
Last updated 11 October 2026.
The agreement between you and [operator name] ([operator postal address]) for using DraftUp.
What the service does
DraftUp tailors a CV you provide to a job description, using AI models, and checks every line of the result against your own CV. It chooses and rephrases what you already claim; it is designed not to add anything you have not. It does not apply for jobs, and it does not promise that you will get one.
Your part
- What you put in your master CV must be true, and yours to use.
- Read everything before you send it. The evidence check catches claims your CV cannot back, but it cannot know whether your CV itself is accurate, and AI output can be wrong in ways no check anticipates. You are responsible for what you send an employer.
- Keep your password to yourself. Extension tokens are yours to keep safe and revoke.
- Do not try to get around plan limits or rate limits, run automated or bulk use, or use the service to process other people’s CVs without their permission.
- If you use the browser extension on a job site, you are responsible for complying with that site’s terms. Pasting the job description is always an alternative.
Plans
The free plan includes a fixed number of tailored CVs per account, which does not renew. Membership includes a fair-use number of tailored CVs for each month of membership. Running the same job again a few times counts as the same CV; a run that fails on our side does not count. We choose which AI models do the work. To keep the service affordable for everyone, tailoring may pause for the rest of a day if the service reaches its daily spending limit. We will tell you about material changes to a plan before they affect you.
Your content
Your CV, applications and anything else you put in are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service — including sending them to the AI providers listed in the privacy notice. You can download or delete them at any time.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law or security prevents it.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions employers make, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and law
If these terms change materially we will tell you, by email or in the app, before the change applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings where you live.
